THE Built BEYOND SOCCER MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

Built for the athlete. Designed for the person they're becoming.

Built Beyond Soccer is Athletehood's signature 8-week group mentorship experience for young athletes. It creates space for athletes to better understand themselves, talk honestly about what comes with competitive sport, practice tools they can actually use and build confidence from the inside out. This isn’t another hour of someone telling athletes what they should do. They participate, reflect, talk, practice and learn how to navigate the game for themselves.

THE JOURNEY

Eight weeks. One progression.

Each week builds on the one before it. Athletes start by becoming more aware of what is happening inside them, then gradually learn how to respond with more ownership, intention and confidence.

01
ME: Know Yourself

Big question: “What happens inside me?”
Focus: Recognizing the connection between Head → Heart → Body and beginning to notice personal signals.

02
CONTROL: Own What’s Yours

Big question: “What is actually mine to control?”
Focus: Identifying what belongs to the athlete and learning how to redirect energy toward a controllable.

03
VOICE: How I Talk to Myself

Focus: Becoming more aware of internal dialogue and learning how the way we speak to ourselves influences how we respond.

04
RESET: The Next Moment

Big question: “What do I do after something goes wrong?”
Focus: Learning how to move from the mistake into the next moment instead of staying stuck in what already happened.

05
PRESSURE: Play Free

Big question: “What happens when the moment feels big?”
Focus: Recognizing how pressure shows up and learning how to stay connected to yourself instead of letting the moment take over.

06
COMPARISON: Stay in Your Lane

Big question: “What do I do when I start comparing myself to someone else?”
Focus: Understanding what comparison does to confidence and learning how to bring attention back to your own path, progress and growth.

07
COURAGE: Be Brave

Big question: “What does being brave actually look like?”
Focus: Learning that confidence doesn’t have to come first and practicing taking brave action even when you feel nervous, unsure or uncomfortable.

08
BECOMING: Carry It Forward

Big question: “Who am I becoming?”
Focus: Bringing everything together, recognizing personal growth and identifying what you want to carry forward as an athlete and as a person.

FOR PARENTS

You don’t have to have all the answers.

Athletes do this work for themselves, but the language they hear at home matters too. ATHLETEHOOD intentionally connects what athletes are learning in mentorship with simple support for parents so the athlete isn’t hearing one message in the program and a completely different one after practice or a game.

Parents are given context, language and ways to support the work without turning every post-soccer conversation into another coaching session. The goal is not for parents to monitor, evaluate or manage the athlete’s growth. It’s to help create an environment where that growth has room to continue.
